SUMMARY:Seniors learn the craft of soap making at SACSS Senior Center
DESCRIPTION:This September\, one of the activities our seniors enjoyed at the SACSS Seniors Center was soapmaking! On September 1st\, SACSS invited a local volunteer craftsperson to teach our seniors the art of soapmaking. Soap making is a fun craft that’s easy to master\, and like any other craft\, it is not just good mental and physical exercise\, it is therapeutic in that it helps people practice attention to detail and unleash creative skills!  \nThe creative session was so much fun and our seniors were pretty excited to create something that they could actually take home and use!  \n

SUMMARY:Virtual Senior Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Virtual senior support groups provide seniors with an opportunity to interact with their peers\, share problems\, find solutions\, learn about community resources and strengthen their social network. Senior support groups are presently held in Hindi\, Urdu and Punjabi languages. We have been able to create a safe\, confidential and comfortable environment where our seniors share personal anecdotes\, stories of strife and resilience and have developed meaningful relationships.
