DESCRIPTION:Our incredible group of young leaders is preparing to graduate on the 28th of August\, 2025. Over the course of the program\, these students have worked hard and grown in so many ways. They have strengthened their critical thinking\, improved their English\, built strong bonds with their peers\, and developed communication skills that will serve them well in the future. \nAs a culminating achievement\, each student will present a project on a topic of their choice during their final class. This special day will not only showcase their creativity and growth but will also give us a chance to celebrate their dedication and hard work. \nAt the end of the event\, graduates will be awarded certificates recognizing their accomplishments\, and the SACSS family will come together to celebrate their success. SUMMARY:Combating the Global Backlash against Women: Key Strategies for Full Participation in Public Life
DESCRIPTION:Panel discussion presented by All India Women’s Conference (AIWC)\, NGO Committee on Human Rights\, and South Asian Council for Social Services (SACSS). \nIn early 2025\, UN Women stated that 24% of countries have reported a significant backlash against gender equality that has undermined efforts to ensure equality\, rights\, and protection for all women and girls. This trend has adversely impacted women’s full participation in the public domain. Women’s leadership in political decision-making processes improves outcomes for whole communities. Unfortunately\, worldwide\, women are underrepresented at all levels of decision-making\, and gender parity in political life appears to be a distant dream.
