Our vibrant borough Queens, has been dealt a significant blow this year by the devastating COVID-19 crisis. Thousands of community members have lost loved ones, jobs, and their way of life.

But, our primarily immigrant community of never quitters shows their resilience and determination on our collective road to recovery. We at South Asian Council for Social Services (SACSS) have had the distinct pleasure of serving this community for 20 years. We and our community are #QueensStrong!

Though the effects of Covid continue, we know that there is much to celebrate and applaud: our community members’ resilience, their faith in our commitment to them, and the weekly joys of being able to make a difference. This is how and why we are #QueensStrong!

Please join us on Thursday, October 22nd, 8 pm EST, for our virtual fundraiser, #QueensStrong, to recognize our roots, the journey we and our community are on, and our plans for the future. Our virtual event will showcase stories and a range of people who hail from Queens, as well as those who have made Queens their home.
