In 2023, SACSS is honored to have served 175,000+ and reached 250,000+ community members!

Food Pantry:

This year, we distributed 4,000,000lbs of grocery and home delivered 6,240 grocery bags to chronically ill or disabled and homebound individuals. We served over 5,312 families, which adds up to over 21,247 individuals!

Healthcare access:

We enrolled 1,661 individuals in health insurance (Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, financial assistance, and charity care) and provided 2,063 individuals with post-enrolment assistance. We cumulatively conducted healthcare outreach for over 60,000 individuals.

Senior Services:

We served 11,820 seniors this year through a multitude of programs, including 2,094 wellness calls, 118 senior center days which engaged 29 seniors on an average, workshops, supportive and individual counseling, benefits assistance and 5 senior outdoor trips.

Civic Engagement:

We provided over 113 individuals with voter registration assistance and additionally engaged 112,750 Individuals in Voter education.

Mental Health:

We conducted and curated over 479 counseling sessions for 48 individuals, along with 406 counseling sessions for 41 seniors. Cumulatively, we managed to deliver 884 counseling sessions to 88 individuals!

This year, we helped provide legal assistance – from naturalization applications to renewing passport and fee waivers – to 51 individuals through over 349 legal clinic sessions. From

Public Benefits:

We connected over 1,379 unique clients to a variety of public benefits, including, SNAP, access-a-ride, SSI, SSDI, Unemployment benefits, cash assistance, free medicaid cell phone, WIC,  financial assistance, and rental assistance programs.
