SACSS partners with Korean-American CBOs to provide Covid 19 awareness and testing, healthcare access assistance, and free Hep B screening events for Korean-speaking community members

On September 21st, SACSS hosted a Korean language COVID 19 awareness and testing kit distribution event with the MinKwon Center. On the same day and also for our Korean-speaking community members, SACCS held a healthcare access assistance session with NY Cares and other health insurance options providers from 9:30am-12pm.

The next day, September 22, SACSS partnered with Korean Community Services NY to offer free screening for Hepatitis B in addition to a NY Cares enrollment event.

SACCS was so pleased to partner with these wonderful Korean American community-based organizations in order to provide these Korean-language health access and support services, as we all know how important it is to have information available for community members in their mother tongue, especially the elderly and newly-arrived immigrants. 

These were free, walk-in events and open to the public.
