In partnership with United Way of New York, SACSS hosted a Connect2Care Lunch&Learn workshop on “Navigating Postpartum Depression and Mental Health” with Dr. Noel Manyindo, along with SACSS Senior Manager Maria Ariza and Program Manager Manisha Adhikari.

The session brought together expecting and new mothers for an afternoon focused “Navigating Postpartum Depression and Mental Health.”

The session created space for open conversations around important maternal health topics, including prenatal care, postpartum depression, mental health, self-care, and healthy daily habits for mothers navigating pregnancy and early parenthood.

For many attendees, the session was also an opportunity to connect with other mothers in a welcoming and supportive environment. Conversations continued over a warm and healthy lunch, helping create a comfortable space for community and shared understanding.

At the end of the session, participants received baby essentials to support them at home, including car seats, baby carriers, and goodie bags with items such as bottle cleaners, brushes, diapers, and postnatal protective cream.
