Rotary Club of Hicksville South Donates Blankets to SACSS

This winter has been especially harsh in NYC, increasing concerns about access to basic resources for underserved communities. In response, the Rotary Club of Hicksville South donated 40 blankets to SACSS, continuing a winter essentials donation effort they began in 2023. As colder weather continues, these donations help address the growing need for warmth and essential support in the community.

The event was attended by SACSS Director of Health Services Rehan Mehmood, Director of Family Support Services Mary Archana Fernandez, Rekha Gupta, Past Board President of SACSS, and Mizanur M. Rahman, SACSS Board Member, and members of the Rotary Club. Mary & Rehan spoke about SACSS programs to the attendees present.

SACSS thanks the Rotary Club of Hicksville South and President Tahira Sharif, Rekha Gupta for their continued support and commitment to serving families in need.

“There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes – it takes a lot to feed over 2,000 plus families each week,” said Rekha Gupta. She encouraged everyone to visit SACSS and support its various programs.
