Mary Archana Fernandez, Director of Family Support Services at SACSS, recently represented SACSS at the New York City Council’s Committee on Immigration’s hearing. She joined partners from the Rapid Immigration Support and Empowerment (RISE) Network, a coalition of nearly 20 Asian-led and Asian-serving organizations that provide immigration case management and legal services to New Yorkers.

At the hearing, Mary spoke about SACSS’s case management programs and weekly legal clinics, where community members can find answers to immigration-related questions in a safe and confidential environment. SACSS staff speak 20 languages and help community members with translation, and assist with making appointments.
