SACSS is part of the 18% and Growing Coalition Campaign with the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF). Over 70 advocates, service providers, and community members attended the rally SACSS attended the 18% and Growing Campaign rally in Queens!

The name “18% and Growing” comes from the fact that the AAPI community now comprises 18% of NYC’s population! The coalition campaign was created to represent this ever growing community and keep the pressure on NYC councils and government to prioritize expanded mental health care support, culturally responsive youth programs, and gender-based violence prevention.

In addition to the Queens rally, two other 18% and Growing Coalition rallies held on May 16th at McKinley Park in Brooklyn and on May 24 in Little Yemen in the Bronx made sure our voices were heard in every corner of the city!
