A Snapshot of SACSS Impact from January – April 2022

SACSS kicked off the start of 2022 with a bang – and a snapshot of our impact shows it! We continued to ramp up our efforts in Senior Support, Food Security, Healthcare Access and more.

From January – April, we supported seniors with 23 support group sessions, 610 wellness calls, 250 counseling sessions, and our first outdoor event since the start of the pandemic! During this time, we also heightened our food security efforts and distributed 125,000 grocery bags and delivered 485 meals – serving over 17,000 individuals and 5,000 families. With these numbers, SACSS is already on track to surpass our 2021 numbers in senior support and food security! Healthcare access is still a core focus for SACSS – we enrolled 650 people in health insurance, made 245 vaccine appointments, distributed 55,000 masks, and successfully reached out to 11,900 community members.
