SACSS Senior Center honors the Guru Krupa Foundation and founder Mukund Padmanabhan

On April 27th, 2023, SACSS honored a longtime supporter – the Guru Krupa Foundation and its founder and President Mukund Padmanabhan. The Guru Krupa Foundation, along with several others, played a prominent role in helping SACSS secure our first home which is now the SACSS community center. From food pantry services to senior center, empowerment classes, counseling and case management services – community members receive multiple services at this one location.

NY State Senator John Liu joined the SACSS team and Mr. Padmanabhan in unveiling a signage at our senior center that honors Guru Krupa Foundation’s contribution to SACSS’ senior center. Senator also presented a plaque to Mukund who reiterated his support to SACSS and its mission. The event concluded with a scintillating Kathak performance by Uvashi Kissoon of NY Kathak Festival and seniors from the SACSS community showing off their singing skills!
