SACSS Seniors Embrace Spring with Colorful Flowerpot Decorating Project

Our seniors ushered in the spring season by painting intricate designs on ceramic flowerpots during an engaging craft project session.
Compared to winter’s dull, cold, gray, and white shades, spring comes with a fresh and vibrant palette! With a gentle stroke of their paintbrush, everyone decorated their pot with bold, bright colors – yellow, green, orange, red and pink – mirroring the warmer months ahead. This craft project encourages them to engage in gardening and plant care, as they could use their painted flowerpots to grow their favorite flower plants.
SACSS’ Senior Manager of Family Support Services, Adiba Chowdhury, also led a delightful presentation entitled ‘Flowers of Asia,’ spotlighting the national flowers of countries such as India, Afghanistan, Nepal, Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, and more.
For our seniors, flowers bring a fragrance that heralds the coming spring or summer season and exudes positive energy, warmth, and happiness. We love their creativity and can’t wait to see their blossoming flower plants.
