Winter session of free Computer and English Classes begin again at SACSS
Winter is here, and SACSS is offering a new season of free classes for the community! These classes, among other popular programs and training at our community center, are offered to community members who want to improve different skills, whether it’s for job preparedness, school, or the basics of navigating daily life in New York.
English language classes are a popular staple in our community and help members, particularly newly arrived immigrants, to learn to read, write, and speak in English. Our free English classes start on January 18 and will take place once a week, every Wednesday. Beginners’ classes are from 10:30am-12pm and intermediate classes take place from 2-4pm.
Computer Classes start on January 17 and also take place once a week, from 11-1pm, on Tuesdays. These comprehensive beginners’ classes help community members learn how to develop their typing skills, use the internet and email, basic Microsoft Office tools, and so much more!
Registration is open all year for both courses, and it’s not too late to register!
