SACSS Out and About in the Community

Take a look at our recent efforts to engage with and empower immigrants across NYC!

Summer is the perfect time to reach out to our neighbors at community fairs and festivals – and here at SACSS we’re doing just that. On May 21, we joined our friends at NYC Health + Hospitals and Gotham Health for a Community Health and Resource Fair in Jackson Heights. We also partnered up with New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) for their Key to the City Family Resource Fairs on June 11th in Jamaica and June 18th in Woodside. 

Through these events we are connecting New Yorkers to #NYCCare and other healthcare options. In addition, at all of these events, SACSS staff and volunteers spread the word about our various social service programs, including our healthcare access efforts, youth leadership  and job preparedness programs, legal services, and more. We enjoyed tabling alongside many other community organizations and providers – reminding us that together we are stronger.
